Seems promising. Assuming the stuff they added was "And here's how you can do this" and not "By the way, WE'RE doing a Druid next year, so don't you dare!"

Lizard said:I do not think Scott has ever lied to us -- which, I admit, makes him a failure as a marketer. He probably get laughed at at MarketerCon or whatever.
I do believe he's had his chain yanked by higher-ups, and, for obvious reasons, can't divulge details or the full story.

I wonder what this SRD is going to look like? If it includes classes from PHII (re: his earlier post) and psionics, we may be getting a lot of information in the next few days.
I realize it won't have mechanics, but at the least we'll probably have the names of classes and such.

Lizard said:Most probably, it will define the 'Psionic' power source in terms of what sort of effects it can produce, so that anything someone does now will 'fit' with the official psionics coming later. There were quite a few 3rd party psi systems which came out before the first Psionic Handbook, that pretty much got bargain-binned because they were no longer "official". I think they also want to drive home that all classes must use the same power structure; there will be no plethora of alternate magic/psi systems.
