So who's going to D&D Experience?

Doing the best imitation of myself
I've just booked my flight and hotel reservations to D&D experience after reserving spots in all of the 4E sessions, and I'm excited for two reasons:

First, I'm going to get to try out 4E. I'm bringing the laptop, so I'll be sharing my thoughts with the ENWorld community (I'm sure I won't be alone there).

Second, I'm bringing my girlfriend with me to DC. She's not a gamer, although she's expressed an interest in learning to play, and we're going to take in some of the sights of DC as well. How cool is that? She actually seems excited to go!

My question for all of you is: are you going? Should we do an ENWorld meet-up in DC?

If you're on the fence, as of just a couple days ago there were still slots in a lot of events, and the hotel has plenty of rooms. If you call the reservation line all you need to do is mention "Wizards of the Coast" to get the discount.

I'm excited about the whole thing.

I'll be there. I live in PA, so DC is only about a 3 hour drive. My fiancee will be playing with me (um, D&D that is). I think we only signed up for 2 sessions of 4e and I signed up for 1 session of the new minis game. I'm not a fan of the minis game, but I'm interested to see how the minis game works with the RPG. Should be fun.

I'll be taking the metro in on Thursday and be there all day. I am registered for the afternoon "scalegloom hall". "Meet-up" is a good idea.

Coming down from Philly.

Not playing ANY 4e, since playing all the Xendrik and LG takes up all my time.

Looking forward to playing the LG special with my 14th level wizard I've played since Year 1 of LG (now in Year 8)

Looking forward to playing my Xen'Drik Expeditions Cataclysm Mage in the Expedition and becoming "blood sister to a Seren Barbarian" (my current personal prophecy) by setting up who I would play with.

Wish there was a decent Geoff pre-con tho.

I live in VA, and will be going Thursday. I'm signed up for both of the Realms 4E events on thursday. I may come back one day on the weekend to check out the dungeon crawl.

I'm looking forward to maybe meeting some ENworlders, and local gamers in general.

Hmmn, it seems like a lot of people are coming up on Thursday, which is too bad, since I'm only flying in Thursday night. Still, if people will be there on Friday or Saturday, I'm love to meet up. Heck, I'd even enjoy meeting anyone who really doesn't like one bit 4E. It might be interesting to do a compare and contrast post here...
