Heh, oops.... I was actually thinking of the Shugenga class more from OA when I replied, though what it gets/casts/etc vs what I remembered it could do were two rather different things 
The Shaman also does remain a nifty class, though I don't think it was quite what she was looking for; still, I'll ask. }
The lack of buff spells in the Druid list is actually one thing that is a bit odd to me -- BoEM1 adds a few that are quite nice though, called Mark of [Element] -- they give a +1 to a certain ability but also have a 'one shot' ability that ends the spell. Rather neat.
Actually, in a mini-rant, there are a lot of spells between all the spell lists that I find odd to be on one list and not on another. But that's a whole other story... }
I thank everyone for their suggestions and comments! There's... 6h before the game, so keep firing away if so inclined } and I'll take all the suggestions to the player and we'll see what turns out... }:>
