Sure! But the line to get a volunteer is just brutal.

I think I'll skip the keynote - someone is bound to film or record it - and go explore during that time instead.

I was going to ask you to save me a seat cause I am stuck at work til 1.

I am just going to have to give it the old College try... it is Wil Wheaton after all.

People started showing up in line at 10am.

I'm leaving for the Hynes now. See you soon!

Holy crap! Is it going to be that difficult to get into stuff? I have NO idea what to except at this show. If that's the case, that's going to be really annoying. I'm still waiting to meetup with Wulf to take the T. Sounds like we aren't getting into the keynote.

I did get into the keynote. Seminars are packed, though; if you aren't there half an hour before it starts, I'm finding that you aren't getting in.

Next year they're moving to a larger venue, I think, so that problem will solve itself.

And I had a great time today! Saw friends, drank free beer, saw two seminars, and checked out the expo hall.

If you're looking to see a movie on some of the past controversies of video gaming, there's an excellent documentary on the representations of violence in video games called Playing Columbine playing in the Boston Underground Film Festival on Tuesday at 5:30. Virtually anyone attending PAX EAST would be interested in it, especially since Jack Thompson comes off really badly and there's tons of old game footage.

Link to the festival's description of the film: Playing Columbine

I'm the one who's "in attendance" so if you have any questions about the film, feel free to ask me about it here: http://www.enworld.org/forum/media-...s-see-playing-columbine-week.html#post5135218

(There's even a shout out to the old DnD/satanism panic.)

Qualidar and I were chatting about it yesterday, and there was not a lot of non WOTC RPG's. They had Eclipse Phase (which I would have loved to try) but only on one full table. We were itching to play something different.

How would everyone feel about having a EN games next year, with the same setup that we have for the GenCon Games?
