Some players doodle at the table...

HellHound

ENnies winner and NOT Scrappy Doo
I've noticed a lot of my players doodle at the gaming table.

I don't have the knack for art anymore, but MAN I love to draw maps. I just need to get better at it. The biggest benefit about being the obsessive map-maker is that I KNOW our way through the module by the time we are done. Well, that and my character's adventure logs look pretty. :)

This is from our latest session, I'm sure 90% of you will recognize what module we are in right now.

We JUST crossed the frictionless room tonight.

We had to go back to town after the ghasts killed one of the party members. We were down to two members and that's not enough to recover WhiteSong (the replacement for BlackRazor in our campaign - a holy avenger). The DM was pretty ferocious so far. Notice the room where Whelm was found doesn't have a hallway leading up to it. As soon as the first two people crossed the mud-pit, they had to rush through the door to avoid another geyser blast... right into the vampire.

That fight was ugly and cost us one character.

The only reason we didn't lose another to the defender of Wave was TWO criticals with a thrown Whelm. I saved the day.

Rock on!! I love this module, its my favorite of all time. I have taken people through it 3 times in the same campaign, the return to of it just fit really well into my campaign that they went back twice...actually, three times cause this last group went through it twice. :D
