Some Things Are Just THAT Deadly! *My players STAY OUT!!!*

In my underdark campaign, my players learned that there are things way too big for them to deal with - but I made sure they knew abotu them at lest a bit, and got it into their heads via tone of voice and feasome descriptions that the job was a 'get in, grab the goods, get out, don't even try to fight the big bad guys' scenario.

After all, the party was level 5, and the dungeon inquestion was run by a black dragon and a pair of draegloth.

The big baddies were used to push the party into areas of the underdark they would never have gone to otherwise, basically as an irresistible force. And BOY did they run when the Draegloth turned up.
