Somewhere in a bar....

Somewhere in a bar....in Everlund, relaxing after an epic battle...my twin-hammer wielding LV13 Holy Avenger patiently waits for a barmaid....and a few drinks... :)

I've not seen any "this is my miniature" threads here, so I thought I'd post mine. If this is the wrong area - please, some forum administrator move it to where its appropriate.

I got this guy from Reaper Miniatures after I gave up trying to find a suitable twin hammer wielding figure for my Avenger. This guy originally had 2 swords. I snipped and dremeled them off, dremel-drilled through the hand/gloves, then took 1 hammer each from some Dwarven warriors (evil ones, btw! <grin>) and mounted them with glue. Mounted on a base for stability, then painted. Overall, I'm very satisfied with him. He's a bit tarnished now, after 13 levels, and close to a years worth of sessions, but I only touch him up when we manage to get into the bigger cities. I role play it like the normal wear and tear any adventurer would go through...

So lets see everyone else's "alter-ego's" in the game world! :)

Not bad. You could experiment with a little dark wash technique, would go well on the cloak, maybe a bit of dry brush for the highlights too. Nice brushwork. ;) The mods are cool. I always did love hacking minis.

Can you change the weapons?

Reaper Miniatures :: Miniatures

I wanted that with a bow, it's tempting to me to purchase so long as i can well... make it

Honestly, with a dremel, Krazy Glue, paints, and some free time, your imagination is the limit.

:)

PS if you are going to be swapping/exchanging between 2 or more different mini's, as I did, try to find ones that are pretty close in size/aspect - things will work better, IMHO.

Not really a bar scene per se, but just stuff I threw together from the Harrowing Halls Tile set.

I grabbed mine from Amazon.com.

Hope that helps gang. :)

PS and for the record, I like the HH Tileset - but to me, there just isn't enough of everything in it - I'd like to see 3-4 sets of each item. :)
