Sophomores of Smack

The "Sultans of Smack" thread is good, but for our campaign it's too out there in terms of levels to be of any immediate use. Unless of course you use the smack downs to PLAN your PC's career development ahead of time.

Can anyone direct me to some mid-level smack-downs? 5th thru 8th level PCs, or so.

Extra credit for using core rules only. Maybe the FRCS book too.

Ok, ok, that's a bit vague. Let's establish some hard and fast "rules" then:

1) 8th character level PCs max. (Half of "regular" Smack down level.)

2) 3 Core books only. (Optionally, a single campaign sourcebook. I myself am biased towards the FRCS book.)

3) Total Equipment value must fit within DMG wealth guildelines. (Assume PC can purchase anything they can afford from DMG lists.)

4) Damage will be considered GOOD if it's around 100 HPs per round. (Again, half of the unoffical 200 HP I read somewhere for the "Sultan" smack downs.)

Of course, my numbers represent a LINEAR power progression for levels, when we all know levels are EXPONENTIAL in power, but what the heck.

As for that thread of which I spake (spoke, spock, spork?). After cleaning off the pee, I braved the darkness of dead threads that lay beyond the realm of Page 5 and found what you seek...

Darn, Best AC I can get on a 8th level human with 27,000 gps. Seems to be AC 46 with no magic items.

That being Human Barb 1/Fighter 2/Forsaker 5

Adamantine full plate, Tower shield, Expertise, and Dodge
Damage resistance 5/+2 isn't terrible at this level.
