Pathfinder 1E Sorcerer synthesist question

I'm putting together a villain for a pathfinder campaign. Gnome synthesist (summoner) 2/barbarian 1. I want to know if it's something other GMs would allow for pcs or if it's too broken. The synthesist wears his eidolon like tony stark wears iron man. With the exception of armor, he uses his own gear/abilities. He uses the eidolon's physical scores while it is summoned. In theory, rage affects the eidolon's scores. Would you allow this?

In general, no, because I've played a Synthesist before and they are so far beyond broken that I lack the words to adequately describe it. The rage is almost a non-factor in the equation.

On the other hand, at level 3, there's still the chance of randomly dying from some goofball critical hit.

Edit: Actually, I take it back. Thanks to Fused Link, a (synthesist 2/ barbarian 1) would effectively have (1d8+1d12+2d10+13 = ~35) hit points, and can rage for more. That's probably enough to survive a critical hit.

I played a Synthesist Summoner before, much fun. I'd imagine it'd make a great villain.
The drawback to multiclassing is the line, "The synthesist uses the eidolon’s base attack bonus..." while encased in the Eidolon. Now, you're looking at a 3rd level character with a 1 level dip, so no big loss.
Now, the effect of Rage, "While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist can use all of his own abilities and gear, except for his armor."
I believe "Abilities" means you can Rage, and it'll affect the Eidolon/Summoner combo. I think by RAW this would be a boost to the physical stats.
