Sorcerers and bloodlines

Looking for some help here.

I seem to remember reading somewhere, either online or maybe in a Dragon magizine, of something like bloodlines for sorcerers.

Abilities and a limited set of required spells for sorcerers who got their power from Dragons, Faeries, Demons... and such.

Any assistance in directing me this information would be great.

Spells and Spellcraft by Fantasy Flight Games has a set of bloodline rules for sorcerers. That's probably what you're thinking of.

There was an article in Dragon #280 that had suggestions on various origins for Sorcerers (including different bloodlines, magical experimentation, and so on). It suggested different spells, feats, and personality traits that the character might take, but gave no mechanical advantages for being any such character.

I like the bloodline variants in Spells & Spellcraft. They offer 4 types of sorcerer: dragon, fey, demon, and giant. Each has a minor advantage and disadvantage, but is otherwise a sorcerer. There are also some interesting feats for sorcerers only.
