Sorcerers and Familiars

Well we knew it would happen eventually. The 15th level sorcerer in our game is not as bright as his weasel familiar. The running gag now is when trying to reach party concensus to ask the weasel to cast their vote. Anyone else have this happen to a sorcerer?

They don't say "a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel" for nothing.

Tell me please, who is this "they" you speak of? Sounds like something from Black Adder.

On topic: No, never. But then, in our group we a) rarely take a familiar choosing some other option and b) almost never play to a level high enough for that to happen.

In Olgar Shiverstone's game my sorcerer's fox familiar is now smarter than diaglo's halfling PC.

And I remind him of it every chance I get.

Haven't seen that happen yet, but I have been in a campaign where a paladin's mount had almost the same Int as the paladin. And in another game the paladin's mount has a higher wisdom than the paladin.
:D

Everytime someone has a familiar in game, we pay special attention to it. Yes, we've had them become smarter than their masters...that's always entertaining, and at least one player still has yet to live that down. Probably because it was his plan that got two party members killed.

Really, everyone knew they should have just asked the familiar what to do. :D
