Sorry to post this here, but... is WotC down?

Same here. That makes at least three of us that are having problems. Have either of you tried to access the site from another computer?

It's not the computer - it's the IP address that's having the trouble - I cannot access the site from other computers on the same network.

As mentioned, proxy servers bring up the site.

Their chats are down for "technical difficulties," but I can find no mention on their site about this issue.

EDIT: Just found this on a thread:

"There's been an issue (And I don't know if it's still ongoing) dealing with connecting to the WotC sites. The biggest/most common impact is folks on Comcast.

The situation is being looked in to."

I do indeed have a Comcast connection. Seems like a promising lead.

What about other networks nearby? If proxy servers are working, could it have something to do with real-world location?

For the record, I'm in Fort Collins, Colorado.

edit: I also have Comcast--service provider was going to be my next guess.

If using a Windows system try calling up a command prompt and type in this command:

ipconfig -flushdns

... then press enter. Try going to the forum after that.

And I am on Comcast, in Aurora Colorado... seems like too much to be a coincidence!

[edit] and I had already tried flushdns as part of my initial troubleshooting, did nothing.
