Farid looks at Quarion, "How do we know we can't trust him? He has no reason to lie, he is on his deathbed. What he says does make sense, though, and we would be remiss to not find out the validity of what he says before attacking all kobolds. After all, some of the kobolds from before were not fans of Eskaron--they are certainly not all of the same mind."

He then enters to look around a bit.

Quarion stares coldly at the kobold as it speaks. To Farid's comments, the elf looks like he is about to spit, but he restrains himself and simply ignores the probably wise words. He looks about the shrine and mutters dark things about unnatural creatures to himself. Though he can't help but admit, in his own heart, that the shrine is an impressive tribute to nature...

Veras-Re looks about. He is impressed by the stonework and is moved by the craftsmanship around him. The Dwarf turns his attention to the bundle and he resists the urge to break the frail Kobold's body.

"If what it says is true, the Kobolds are not completely united. We can pick out this Eskaron and the Crusaders and end the threat to Grenton" His psycrystal skitters up his broad frame and back at the top of his walking stave.

Farid nods, "Yes, hopefully this old Kobold's phrase will help us in that regard. Back up to the surface, then, or should we search another tunnel?"

"I think we're all out of tunnels," Jack replies, having kept unusually quiet and unobrusive throughout the previous conversation.

Veras-Re looks to Quarion as to whether he should kill the Kobold or not. It is helpless and frail, definitely not a threat. But then, he hates to leave anything behind him that could be a threat.

"No tunnel left you say? Well, then let's make our way back top." Farid moves to leave the room.

The kobold whispers something, then lets out a last sigh. It appears it has died just now.

[sblock=Listen DC 15]The whisper said something akin to "You need... Eskaron... dragon... not... silver..."[/sblock]

Careful examination shows that the kobold is definitely dead. Assuming there are no further major explorations, I'd like you to rejoin the main thread.

From the back of his ear, Farid notices a sound... "... What? Need Eskaron dragon not silver? What does that mean?" He looks back. "Ah, is the old thing dead? He was strong of mind, I think."

ooc: Listen Check (1d20=20)!

ooc: Also, how are we to rejoin the original thread? Do we just stroll up behind everyone?
