SotD - Beneath Grenton

If Jack expected anything exciting beyond the uncurtained corridor, he is sorely disappointed. It is a rather mundane toilet area, similar to the ones in the two other corridors, but built for more than one kobold.

Jack considers a half-dozen different practicle jokes concerning elves and 'buried treasure', but dismisses them considering the urgent business at hand. He returns to the others...

"Nothing down that way, but a latrine. That leaves the tunnel toward Orussus."

Unless someone else has a better suggestion, Jack will scout a little ways down the last corridor.

"Is there anything between Orussus and here--as in, might there be other stops in the tunnel?"

(You can think of no major landmarks on the direct route. Allimon is theoretically close enough to the line Grenton/Orussus, though.)

Right from entering the tunnel, you can see that it is vastly different. If possible, it is even cleaner than the rest of the tunnel, and adorned with small bells. The bells hang in patterns that would allow, if properly struck, the entire tunnel to be covered in melody. In addition, some... lit candles are attached to the walls in regular, but notable distance from each other.

In the distance, you can see more candle-light - a candle-lit room?

"Huh..." Jack scratches his head. "Now that's one I haven't seen before..."

Farid thinks, "Would this be used as a warning system? Let us move on quickly." He presses forward.

Quarion Holimion, Elven Druid

The elf scans the bells and candles briefly. He nods his head at Farid's suggestion of a warning system and then dismisses them. "Our prey clearly escaped down this tunnel. If we are to have any hope of catching them, it is this underground path that we must follow." He sends Garma ahead about sixty feet and breaks into a graceful jog down the long tunnel.

Not one to break up good entertainment, Jack takes a step back to get a better view and and waits patiently to indulge his curiousity as to what will happen to Farid and the elf as they walk down the belled corridor...

Quarion jogs along the tunnel as Garma rushes forward. A few of the bells are moved by the commotion, letting out tiny sounds, but if Jack expected a trap to be sprung, he is disappointed.

A frail voice calls out from beyond the corridor - it must be draconic from a kobold - an old kobold.
