SoulKnife's Mind Blade and OccultSlayer PrC

Can a SoulKnife's Mind Blade be the "focus" weapon for a OccultSlayer PrC?

I don't have the book with me, but I think the OccultSlayer needs a MasterWorked or better weapon to focus on.... Does the MindBlade count?

Also, if the MindBlade can be the OccultSlayer focus weapon, do you need to "attune" a specific instance of the mindBlade? and thus need days to "re-attune" a blade if you throw or dispel the blade (and then create a new instance of it?)?

Man... this feels like programing...

I'd say if the mindblade gives an enhancement bonus (as a masterwork weapon does, or as an enchanted weapon does) than the occultslayer would work with it. I'd also assume that as long as the mindblade has the same qualities and shape each time you use it, it would be considered the same weapon (as a class ability it's more or less an extension of your character, I'm sure he has enough control over it to make the same weapon every time).

That's basically what I thought, it should be treated like the "blade" is always the same blade, you just summon/unsummon it from *someplace*.

This line in the class description:
Psychic Strike (Su): ... Once a soulknife has prepared his blade for a psychic strike, it holds the extra energy until it is used. Even if the soulknife drops the mind blade (or it otherwise dissipates, such as when it is thrown and misses), it is still imbued with psychic energy when the soulknife next materializes it...

Makes me think that this is the case.

However, is this errata'ed anywhere? Anyone else with an optinon?

Well, since a soulknife's mindblade is considered to be +1 at 4th level, I would say so, as well. At 5th level, the soulknife can "shape" the mindblade into a longsword or bastard sword, but you don't have to take weapon focus for each version (weapon focus-mindblade is a free feat given at 1st level).

When the rare event I get to play rolls around, I play a soulknife and I love it.
