South Korea - first case of Robot Suicide?

Anyone remember the Ikea sad lamp ad? It featured an old lamp that had been replaced by a new Ikea lamp, just sitting out there in the rain after having been callously tossed out by its previous owner.

"Many of you feel bad for this lamp. That is because you're crazy. It has no feelings, and the new one is much better."

It's a machine. It can't feel happiness, sadness, love, hatred, despair, etc., etc. It cannot commit suicide any more than it can commit murder. Not yet anyway.

The old lamp eventually gets revenge, though. It survives in its landfill home long enough to see humans die out / leave for Mars.
