Southern Exposure (PA, DE, NJ) ENworld Gathering! [9/29-10/2]

If it's early fall, it must be time for Southern Exposure (formerly Shorecon)! And if it's time for Southern Exposure, then it's time for me to open a thread about it, and see if folks want to have an ENWorld Gathering again this year.

For the past two, we've been getting together with a few folks from ENWorld (whoever makes the pilgrimage and finds us, in any case) for games, talk and the odd beer or two (not to mention Sheperd's Pie).

In case you're wondering what the last two years were like, you could always read my previous con reports, from Southern Exposure I and Shorecon 2003.

NOTE: Those links have a fair number of pictures. Low Bandwidth users should consider themselves forewarned!

Sounds interesting. And getting together with other ENWorlders for a game or two definitely sounds like fun. I'll have to talk to the other ENWorlders in my group (Michael Tree, who I know went to the last one, and Rackhir) and see if we can coordinate something.

The last two were lots of fun, and I'd be interested in getting together again. This year I'll even be able to come for the whole con, not just a day or two.

If we're going to have an ENWorld game session like two years ago, we should probably schedule it in advance, so people don't have to run to other games halfway through.

Reminder that it's three weeks to Southern Exposure. Would folks be interested in hitting the Pub for dinner again?

For that matter, would anyone be interested in a game if I ran one? I'm actively considering running a straight up D&D game or a Mutants and Masterminds game. Both would require that I preconstruct characters, of course.

Not to mention I'm bringing a few games that I'd like to play, such as Shadows over Camelot (well, Heck, ANY Days of Wonder game) and I'll be hunting down the Return of the Heroes and Alhambra. Not to mention more Dwarven Forge material.

If I do make it there, which I hope to, I'd definitely be interested,

Cool! We hope to see you there.

For those so interested, we're now officially on the schedule for the same time as previously, the 3PM-8PM slot on Saturday. Cool story, in fact: I was sitting in the living room, yesterday, thinking about the 'con and that I should probably ask to get put on the schedule again, when I get a phone call. It's Vinny from Double Exposure (who runs the con), asking if I was planning on running another gathering. In mere moments, we confirmed and he added us to the schedule.

I thought that was pretty spiff. :)

I won't be able to make it, but Joshua from Behemoth3 will be there running a D&D game exploring the Masters and Minions ecology of a stirge-infested swamp. Will point him to this thread!

Err, PA, DE and NJ arent really southern....why is this called Southern Exposure? lol

It refers to Southern NJ. There is a Northern Exposure, as well.

The company that runs them is called Double Exposure.

It used to be called Shorecon, but hadn't been held near the Jersey shore for years. Go figure.

Unfortunately Joshua is running "Swamp-full of Stirges" on Saturday from 2-6pm, so he won't be able to make it to the gathering until the end; the event is also being run Friday from 2-6, so it'd be possible for others to play it and still go to the gathering.
