Special Conversion Thread: Supernatural Familiars

OK, some of it looks pretty straightforward.

Speed 20 ft., fly 70 ft.?

Shapechange to stirge, Tiny viper, weasel or a Fine sized fly (+8 size, +2 Dex = AC20?).

Attach and Blood Drain can just copy a Stirge's special attacks.

The blinding poison is a bit odd, with it only blinding a particular creature once per encounter. Maybe supernatural not extraordinary?

Phantasmal force once per day equals major image 1/day.

I think your suggestions are about right, but I don't know if we need to worry about that restriction on the poison. I'm really not fond of "per encounter" mechanics.

That's a reasonable idea.

That said, both the quasit and imp have the same Dex damage poison, which we could also just use. That would slot these in well.

Yugoloths use silver as DR special material in the rare instances where its something beyond simply x/good.

Added to Homebrews using a blending of the imp's and quasit's stats.

I'd favor sticking with standard (unlimited use) poison, with short-term blindness. Does that seem problematic?

Does the 1d6+6 rounds seem reasonable, compared to the imp's and quasit's 1d4 Dex/2d4 Dex? Maybe break it into 1d6 rounds initial, 1d6 secondary?

Indeed!

Updated.

Dex in horsefly form?

+12 racial bonus on grapple checks (like a stirge)?

Skills: 8 at 6 ranks
Bluff, Hide, Knowledge (any one), Listen, Move Silently, Search, Spellcraft, Spot?

Feats: Weapon Finesse, 1 more (Imps have Dodge, quasits have Imp. Init)

Uhh, 20-25?

+12 grapple, suggested skills look good.

For the feat, I'd like a third option, but there's nothing much available. We could do Ability Focus (poison), that that might make them a little too tough. What do you think?
