Special Conversion Thread: The Ghazneths

Looks done, hooray! :D These were a bit of a pain sometimes, huh?

Looking back, Luthax has a Knowledge (hertory) check in his rejuvenation entry that should probably be changed to history. Same with Melineth and Merendil.

Yeah, some were painful, others incredibly smoothe.

Ahh...good ol' cut n' paste of "her" for "his". I'll fix those before they hit the CC. :)

Thus concludes this thread. Yay!

Have to dredge up this old thread; I got a request over at Candlekeep (here) to convert/create the last ghazneth, Rowen Cormaeril. I don't know much about him, except that he should be the youngest (presumably 30s or 40s in age), just became a ghazneth, and the requesting party wants him to have the abilities of a 5th level scout (maybe some of these can be powered by spell levels). I'm trying to see if there's any more info. Anyway, so shall we do that? Peg around CR 7, just slightly the weakest?

I'm assuming this one never had game stats. Is that correct?

I'm fine with working on it, but I too know little about it. I'll follow your lead. ;)

No game stats ever given, as far as I can tell. It's possible it was left out of the magazine article since it would probably have spoiled the novel somewhat. I'll dig through some old threads on Candlekeep, but meanwhile do you have info on the scout class?

Ok, CR 8 Xanthon is 9HD and Str 16, Dex 15, Con 15, Int 14, Wis 12, Cha 19. Go for 8HD and tone down a few stats a little?

So what class abilities does a scout get up to level 5?
