My current house rules on Speed are:
L: 30 20
M: 25 17.5
H: 20 15
I implemented this to give medium armor a better deal. Every character in our games either wore light or heavy and never in between, mostly due to medium armor having the same speed as heavy armor.
Note: 17.5 means that they have a Speed of 4 spaces (20 feet) for half moves, but 7 spaces (35 feet) for full moves and 14 spaces (70 feet) for a run maneuver.
However, I was considering whether to increase the move by 5 and change the table to:
L: 35 25
M: 30 20
H: 25 15
in order to simplify things a little. So basically, I would probably also increase the Speed of all small and medium creatures by 5, all large creatures by 10, etc. (I also happen to think that most extremely large creatures such as giants are moving way too slow as is).
Thoughts on this?
Suggestions?
