Spell-like and Supernatural abilities

I am having a brain fart atm...

What is the difference between spell-like a supernatural abilities? I think the difference is, spell-like abilities take a Standard Action to use and Supernatural abilities are "free actions". Or am I off here?

Also, what is the third one? Extraordinary abilitiy? What is this difference with this one? Again, if I remember correctly this is like a Supernatural ability except 1) it can't be dispelled or supressed by AMF and 2) If you shapechange/polymorph into a creature with one, you can use it (like flying would be an Ex-Ability for a bird so you would be able to fly as one if you shapechange).

Did I get this right? Am I missing somethings? Sorry for the brain fart, didn't want to get it stinky in here =P

No, Polymorphing into a creature DOES NOT grant any extraordinary, supernatural, or spell like abilities. A bird's flight is a natural ability, not an extraordinary one. Only creatures that have extraordinary movement types would be lost on polymorph.

Here's a handy chart from the SRD:

Effect - Extraordinary / Spell-Like / Supernatural

Dispel - No / Yes / No
Spell resistance - No / Yes / No
Antimagic field - No / Yes / Yes
Attack of opportunity - No / Yes / No

But just to clarify, wildshaping is now different from polymorphing, and gives you the extraordinary abilites of the animal you shape into.

What about the amount of time it takes to perform each? Is a Spell-like ability a Standard Action? What about Supernatural abilities? Are they free actions or standard?

You have to read the description of each ability. Some may be always on, most would be a standard action. If they duplicate a spell, ususally it will match the spell casting time (again, usually a standard action).

Unless the individual description says otherwise they are both standard actions. They are defined in the DMG if you need more info on them.
