Spell points: CON or CHA?

Ah, but that's not what "charisma" means. Quasimodo was very charismatic, for example. Think of Charisma as offensive willpower ("These are not the droids you are looking for") and Wisdom as defensive willpower ("Your Jedi mind tricks have no effect on me!"), and you're close to what those stats in D&D3 represent.

There’s one more problem with using Con for spell points, and I can sum it up in one dread word – Liches. How’s a Lich supposed to do his thing if he doesn’t have the ‘life force’ to do it with?

Bad news for all of you undead spell casters out there. You’re all just talking skeletons now. :(
