I thought, in D&D3.0, that the person with the Item Creation Feat didn't need to be the one with the required spells. Was I wrong? Did they change it in 3.5?
The second paragraph under Creating Magic Items on page 282 of the 3.5 DMG says;
Note that all items have prerequisites in their descriptions. These prerequisites must be met for the item to be created. Most of the time, they take the form of spells that must be known by the item's creator (although access through another magic item or spellcaster is allowed.
Does this mean, for instance, that my Wizard with Scribe Scoll and your Cleric with Cure Light Wounds could make scrolls of cure light wounds?
