Spell sheeeeeeeeeets...

This is one of these questions where everyone asks in return 'why don't you make some, that would be great!' but, alas, I don't have the time, so I ask... }:)

Having checked out a bunch of the spreadheet-based spell list creator things, I've discovered that while a lot of them have a good range of sources, few seem to have all the sources (core, splat and 3rd party publishers) that I am looking for -- so the question to everyone is do any of you know of a spreadsheet list out there that gives a good list with the saves, casting time, small description, etc, and includes all the wotc books, R&R, BoEM/BoHM, etc? Perhaps one that was very recently created and I missed?

Thanks a tonne,

Kannik

Have you taken a look at Steve's 3rd edition spell sheet? If not, here's the link:

I have indeed, and its fantastic... though a bit out of date and is missing one of the sources, which was what sent me looking }:) Hmmm... IIRC it had instructions on how to add sources to it -- has anyone out there added more to it? }:)

A search with google will lead you to some boards specifically on this subject.

But it seems simple enough. Insert a line in the spell sheet, copy the line above to the empty one you just inserted and enter the specifics of the spell you want to add.

While this idea reeks of awesomeness, I'll ask ahead of time. Can you customize which sources are included on the sheet? I.E. Could I make it so that the sheet contains all the spells in the PHB, Magic of Faerun, and FRCS books?

Tar-edhel, I can't find an actual link to download the spell sheet from, could you perhaps help me out here?

Yup. sure can!

Darn! It's not on Steve's page anymore. Tried to send it by email but it weighs 5Mo. If you want it, send me an email, I'll post it on my FTP site.

-g- Alas, it is not the how but more the question of resources in this case -- mainly time (or more specifically the lack thereof :P)

The latest version's of Steve's sheet I've found (v1-12.0) is about a year old (June 2002) and at the time R&R, MoR, et al had not yet been entered.... }:)

Of course, I just finally had the brilliant idea to check out Steve's site and his message boards (the wonders of tabbed browsing), and it looks like there was some movement, but back in October last year... I'm guessing it has been sidelined or it 'died'. Hmmm.

I'll have to cobble for now, I guess... maybe we'll all be blessed with the emergance of the new version today }:>

Steve's stuff is awesome. Pretty much everyone in my group has coverted to his Excel sheets.

It's be great if someone had updated the stuff. We found a few bugs in the character sheet. For some reason it applies your armor check penalty to your charisma for a Paladin's Divine Grace ability.

His sheet was updated with i think rr 1 and rr2 and all 3 books eldritch might and the wotc web spells as of december last year. The supporters of his site got an updated sheet. Guess he has not public released it yet.
