You could make a spell like this for all the cure wounds variants, and further, an inflict version...

Increase the level by two, at least. If you think about it, this is the spell that makes moving unneeded. You can do everything from the safety of home, occasionally nipping out to scratch someone with a dagger, then teleporting back home to destroy their soul from a safe distance.

And think of the political implications. Untracable assassinations! Cast it on the weapon 10 or fifteen times while the king is sleeping, and WHAM!

It's the lack of a range requirement that makes it so good.

You must also consider that the casting time of the necromantic - inflicting version is 1 minute. Yes, a man could teleport in and knick you with a dagger, teleport out, and start casting this spell.
However, anyone of importance will likely heal the initial wound caused by the dagger, and thus prevent the spell from coming into effect at all. Remember, the target must still suffer a wound from the weapon that the caster has in his possession - and the weapon must still be coated in his blood.
