now THIS is pod racing...

Okay this looks awesome (still upset about PDF, but work around seems to be working... but view printab;e handout is nice) part 2 is got an update on skill challanges (strix haven had some of this too) and I love it...

and more danger room/ holodeck D&D play.

nothing as cool as the disentigrate sword yet that I saw but I only skimmed
How are the Skill Challenge updates in this? Compared to Strixhaven's Mage Tower?

Hmmm, I wonder what the Elven Imperial Navy thinks of the Spelljammer Academy. Something tells me that both organizations don't/would not see exactly eye to eye on some things.

Maybe that's why the academy is so secretive and placed in a remote location?
Add in the fact that one of the Founders of the Spelljammer Academy hails from Waterdeep, which from what I read has a whole section of surface Drow refugees living there, probably causes the Elven Imperial Navy some concerns.

Oh! This adventure takes place in the future?!
I like the idea that The Spelljammer Academy was founded during the same time period of the Forgotten Realms that the Acquisitions Incorporated book is placed in. Meaning that if you ordered the 5E books in a timeline order, Aqisitions Incorporated takes place waaay after the events of Tyranny of Dragons 2019 and Dragon of Icespire Peak.

So, The Forgotten Realms have Verdan, Autognomes AND Spelljammers/Eberron-style Airships as recent style developments.

Interesting, I don't really imagine a Giant Cleaver basing its stats as a refluffed Longsword. But I guess it makes sense to somebody.

Man.......all the homies in the chat pour one out for the Petty Officer Giff cook. Wasn't expecting him to die at all.

Who or what is Verdan?

I will say this, I'm kinda hoping the Spelljammer: Adventures in Space gives us more options for Spelljammer ship weapons. I mean, I got nothing against Catapaults, Ballistas and all that, but I'm surprised that Cannons were never given to em.

Granted, Ghosts of Saltmarshes 5E, Seas of Vodari, and Pirates of Pugmire will probably help out with that.

Cannons are in the DMG, the giff are blackpowder junkies, and the sneak peek at the Spelljammer DM's Screen shows that there are cannonballs...so we'll get cannons. Oh, there will be cannons.
