Spells no Sorcerer would take...

My sorcerer took Scrying. It's great! Even though it takes an hour to cast, and only lasts a minute per level. Those higher level slots are too useful to get Greater Scrying in.

Personally, I like to refrain from taking strctly damaging spells like fireball and magic missile. It puts to much of an emphasis on combat for the poor sorcerer. I perfer the utility spells that are useful in many areas. Sorcerers get so few spells it is rarely worth it to take the ones that are so one sided.

I took Dragons Breath from Relics and Rituals. It lets me choose what element (fire, acid, cold, corrosive gas and electricity) and the shape of the spell. I could use a cone or a 5ft wide ray 100ft long. This beats the common fireball and lightning bolt hands down for 3rd level spell selections.

A contrarian view

How about Identify? With a casting time of 8 hours it really isn't a great choice for one of your limited 1st lv spells.
I take the contrarian stance. First of all, Identify scales with level, which is an important fact to consider when choosing a Sorceror's spells. Second, you can do this in the field, whereas going back to town to have them do it can be damn inconvenient, not to mention the debit to one's gold reserves.

Say no to Contingency

Analyze Dweomer or Contingency might also be worth it.
Contingency is definitely not worth it for a Sorceror. It's great for a Wizard, since the Wizard can cast Contingency and then memorize something else in its place. For a Sorceror, it's a dead spell slot that can't be replaced by something else. Sorcerors should cast Contingency from a scroll.

Amusingly enough, I'm arguing with someone on the other thread (spells a sorceror should take) and seeing some crossover.

Reduce is being well-argued to be quite useful. I probably wouldn't take it myself, but it is still handy: not one to instantly rule out. Enlarge, however, is not so useful.

Protection from (other than evil): what? No sorcerors are evil?

Nystul's Undetectable/Magical Aura: never run an intrigue campaign? What do you think you cover your Undetectable Alignment with to stop suspicions being aroused?

Levitate: could be handy. The poor man's Fly. Although I suppose it's redundant in just two levels.

Wind Wall: what?! Total immunity to projectile weapons isn't good enough for you? Projectile weapons are immensely powerful, and this is the ultimately defense against them. Couple this with fly and laugh at non-spell using foes.

Nightmare: useful in intrigue/long-term campaigns to grind your enemies down. Don't underestimate it: one of my PCs did after he irritated an illusionist and it wasn't pleasant (unlimited range, stopped by almost nothing, stops spell preparation- nasty).

I'm boggled by levitate. It is perhaps the best heavy lifitng spell in the game. 100lbs/level isn't something to sneeze at, I've found it to be one of the best utilitarian spells in the game. Also magic circle spells are personal spells making them great for persistence. Also the sleep safely spells not good. Mag. mansion, secure shelter etc. are some of the best spells out there for an adventuring spellcaster. Remember you need to sleep to get those spells off, getting spanked by ambushes every night blows for a sor.

My only thing is similar to crothian, I don't like DD spells that much for a sor. I take one every other level at most.

Mount is also a great spell!

I'd have to agree with this...

A 2nd level sorcerer with Mount can provide quick transportation for 8 hours for his entire party.

You'll never have to buy a mount. You'll never have to worry about your mount dying in combat. You never have to worry about stabling, or feeding, or watering or caring for your mount in any way. You never have to worry about someone stealing the horses that you left tied up outside the dungeon while you loot the ancient tomb. And you'll always have plenty of pack horses to carry all that loot back to town.
I don't know if I'd waste a spell slot on it for a Wizard, but it's an incredibly useful spell for a sorcerer.
