I was surprised by what spells made it to cantrips and what ones didn't. Same with some that I thought should be rituals.
Comprehend Languages, for instance, is NEVER a spell that I will prepare without foreknowledge of it being useful, and even then, I'd rather a scroll. This is one that should definitely be a ritual.
Then there's Shield. It needs to be reworked, IMO, to be made a cantrip. Cover for one round, castable at-will. So it's there when you need it but isn't taking up a spell slot that needs to be devoted to something actually useful. Either that, or it needs to be beefed up to +4 instead of the piss-weak +2.
