Spells

I like the wall of tet descriptions, although Range and Area could be bolded.
Maybe a brief header would help though.

range: 30ft
saving throw: half
attack: main ability
Spell components: V,S,M (F)

I can´t stress how much I like the command spell allowing ceativity again.

Yes!!

I like seeing the return of Continual Light. Not that there was anything wrong with Continual Flame but still... Cont Light evokes a lot of nostalgia.

Oh, yes!!

Great idea.

Overall, I love the new spells.

Drop the components, attack and saving throw lines Always attack using your stat. Always save for half unless noted in spell description. Components only required for a ritual casting and could stand some description of materials. So we are left with Range.

I could see a spell listed this way:

Bigby's Pimp Slappin' Backhand Type: Force Damage 5d6 Range: 30'

Bigby was a frequent brothel patron. He developed this spell to deal with overzealous bouncers. A giant hand of blue force energy appears and backhands the target dealing 5d6 worth of damage and stunning him. A successful save avoids stunning. If cast at a higher level the hand stays for multiple rounds equal to the additional slots.

Hmmh, most spells have either attack or saving throw.

What is bad about.

Bigby´s backhand: ray, 5d6 force + stun. Save: con negates stun. Range 30'

Does fit in a single attack line. Should work. (And is not a lot of work too...)

I hate the wall-of-text spell descriptions. When I need to look up the range of charm person*, I want the range right up at the top with a bold label that says Range:

*and why should I have to crack a different book to look it up? All relevant monster abilities need to be in the monster stat block. Monsters should not have spell lists! And player character sheets should have their spells' relevant information (briefly) on the sheet itself. Let's not go back to each player needing a briefcase (or, these days, a laptop) to play!

For me those walls of text are fine, but vital information should be highlighted. So, for example, a spell that looks like this:
Chaos hammer creates a dazzling burst of light and sound anywhere within 30 feet that deals 5d6 points sonic damage to all creatures within 5 feet from the striking point.
should look like this:
Chaos hammer creates a dazzling burst of light and sound anywhere within 30 feet that deals 5d6 points sonic damage to all creatures within 5 feet from the striking point.

I like how the spells don't have huge headers now. That said, I do think they could afford to put one line below the spell's level and school that specifies range, duration and saving throw.

For example:

Shocking Grasp
Minor evocation
Range: Touch; Duration: Instant, Saving Throw: None
