The Sporting Chance maneuver from the Gallant Heart tradition (GPG #21) states the following:
The flavour makes it abundantly clear that this is supposed to target enemies. However, I am, by definition, a creature within my own reach (and so are allies within my reach). I assume this should be "one enemy within your reach" instead?
Choose one creature within your reach. The creature gains an expertise die on attacks against you until the end of your next turn. For this duration, you gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened, fixated, charmed, or rattled. Additionally, if you are currently affected by any of these conditions, you can immediately roll a save against one of them, potentially ending the effect early.
