I'm normally a fall and winter kinda guy. I love a dark, drizzly cool day. And Mother Nature sprung one on me, and the rest of the Midsouth, today. It was a lovely damp and stormy day, one I don't get to enjoy too often. I usually spend most of my day in a large, climate controlled store, but my rehab has me spending a lot of time on my back porch.
And Mother Nature fooled me today. Made it all fall-like, but she snuck one over on me. This morning, when I first sat on my backporch, the nearby trees were all bare. A few had little nubs started. But all day long, I stepped out back maybe every hour or two to enjoy the storms. And every hour or two those little nubs got larger and larger, and greener and greener. Most of the view from the porch is now a budding woodsy wonderland. Kinda wish I had a camera to take slow motion pics, but the image in my mind is plenty good on its own.
I'm all flush with spring gooberhood now. Thanks a lot, Mother N.
