SRD, what's changed?

There's this little program called worddiffdoc, available here:
http://www.softinterface.com/WDD/WDD.htm

I've still got the old SRD file (i imagine you do to), i could list all the changes, but you would have one hell of a time deciphering what was changed where. Instead download the above program, download the new SRD and put it in a different folder then the old one, compare both folders, the compare the changed files. Tho program will show you exactly what has changed by changing the color of the text. If you find this too much work i'll take a look and see if i can find an export function.

OR would you appreciate it more if we e-mailed you the updated webpages, if so, we should make a list of who will be doing what...

Here are some general errors I have found in your SRD.

Equipment -> Weapons
In the description for the Hammer, Gnome Hooked, the name needs to be in bold.

Combat -> Combat Modifiers
Numbers for comments in table for Entangled and Invisible should be in superscript.

Spells
Parts of stats for these spells need to be in bold: Detect Poison, Diminish Plants, Dispel Evil, Dispel Magic, Freezing Sphere, Grease, Limited Wish, Magic Aura, Miracle, Mislead, Permanency, Plant Growth, Prestidigitation, Quench, Scrying, Shatter, and Wish.

Monsters
Bonus feat notation needs to be in superscript for there creatures: Aranea, Arrowhawk, Blink Dog, Choker, Cockatrice, Couatl, Devil (Erinyes), Dire Badger, Dire Rat, Dire Weasel, Dire Wolf, Dire Wolverine, Air Elemental, Fire Elemental, Formian, Genie(Djinni), Genie(Efreeti), Genie(Janni), Grick, Grimlock, Hell Hound, All Hydras, Krenshar, All Lycanthropes, Manticore, All Nagas, Sahuagin, Satyr, Shadow Mastiff, Sprite(Grig), Sprite(Ninie), Sprite(Pixie), Stirge, Centipede Swarm, Troglodyte, Vampire Spawn, Will-O'-Wisp, Wraith, Wyvern, Xill, Xorn

The BAB entry for Earth Elemental is messed up.

These are mostly just formatting errors. The two with the long lists, I just noticed a few and decided to hunt down the rest. I really love your work. Thanks!

Woa thanks! as I said I've allready made the changes, but I'll be sure to use this enxt time they change something =)
And actually, I deleted the old files after alt-tabbing between the old and new one a few hundred times and making the changes to our SRD.

Thanks, I'll se to them. Still, I haven't decided weather to keep the B's as they are or change them to superscript. I'll get around to it some day :D

Add me to your groupie list, too, Sage! :)

While I'm at work and <ahem> working, I often find myself pointing the browser to the Ultimate Reference that is your & Sovelior's creation.

Thank you! Not only for the work you've already done creating it in the first place, but also for continuing to update and maintain it.

:cool:

Thanks.

After I've looked into the RTFs and into some online SRDs, I've always wondered myself: How do you seperate those entries? Copying spells one-by-one into a HTML-file? Or is there some automated tool, which helps with this task?

There are quite a few free tools for converting rtf to HTML. I like IRun, but it has a problem with hyphens sometimes (it converts them and a number after them to symbols). Go to download.com and search for "rtf to html convert" and you'll get lots of hits.

Perhaps Sage will be kind enough to tell us what tool he used. :)

Sage, I'm another fan of your SRD. Beautiful work, you guys. I'm hoping you have the chance to update the psionic section at some point.

Well, Sovelior made the first pages and the nice script wich makes everything look good. After that, I simply copy one of the previous pages, delete the content in the big white colum (our SRD is made of tables), and yeah, copy-paste from the RTF's.
We can easily copy the whole RTF over and then use headers and paragraphs and stuff to make it look good, except the tables (which are really annoying :) )
There isn't really any copying spells one-by-one, at least not in our SRD.
AFAIK, we don't use any automated tools. I use Netscape Composer and just stay away from the script file.

I hope that wasn't too confusing :)

Sage

b.t.w. thanks for finding all those mistakes KerlanRayne, I really appreciate it :)
