One of my players is currently playing a cleric of St. Cuthbert with the Destruction domain. He is considering taking the Extra Smiting feat from Defenders of the Faith. He was enquiring whether the smites gained from this feat could be stacked into a single attack, giving him, say, +12 to attack and +30 to damage at 10th level (given two instances of the feat). He notes that they provide unnamed bonuses, and that DotF notes on page 63 that someone with multiple types of smites (say the paladin's Smite Evil and hunter of the dead's Smite Undead) could activate them both in a single attack.
I am uncomfortable with this idea, but would like to give him a justification for a "no" ruling based on something more than the fact that the book doesn't specifically say that such is possible. Does anyone have any arguements one way or the other that could sway me? Thanks!
