Okay, looks like everything that's old is new again. Get this...

Rambo IV (2006)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0462499/

Plot: Vietnam vet John Rambo is forced to emerge from his reclusive lifestyle and take justice into his own hands after a girl goes missing.

(This one is already in pre-production.)

Rocky Balboa (2006)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0479143/

Plot: 'Rocky Balboa' examines one of America's greatest icons at a vulnerable period in his life -- middle age. A former heavyweight boxing champion, known and renown throughout the world for going the distance, Rocky finds a new venture: giving back to his community. This is where he, once more, finds himself at the opposing side of opportunity, not unlike the one he has seen decades ago. Heavyweight champ Mason Dixon and his representation offer Rocky a shot for the title. For Balboa, it'll be one last hurrah he'll never forget... but with his glory days far behind him can he withstand the inevitabilities of what's to come? A look at going full circle and wanting more, when life turns out how you least expect it and then some.

It could be worse; the "Stallone in Terminator 2" poster from Last Action Hero could become a reality.

Seriously though, didn't Stallone say, a while back, that he was sick of making action movies and wanted to stop doing them? If so, I imagine he's doing these because his career seems to be pretty much dead now.

According to Stallone himself, Rambo IV won't be a straight-up action movie like II and III were. Quote from Stallone on Rambo IV:

"It won't be what you think - not the same Rambo with the headband. In keeping with some sort of believability, he would be passing the torch to a younger generation of high-tech combatants. We're working on an interesting premise where Rambo is brought back from living on a ranch somewhere, and because of his skills in jungle warfare and survival, he's asked to lead a young group in a search-and-rescue mission. They can't believe this decrepit guy is a war hero, but when their technology fails, they see where Rambo excels."
It sounds like it could be pretty cool if done right. :)

They should combine the franchises and do Rockbo movies. He can trick bad guys to come into the ring for a deathmatch.
