Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Did you watch ‘what we left behind’ ? The documentary from a couple years back. I think it’s on amazon prime in the US. They talked about stuff from ds9, but ALSO had head writers draft what the concept for a hypothetical next season’ would be

No, I haven’t - I should look it up. Trying not to give Amazon money at the moment.

I finished the entire series. Just wanted to say after mocking "Power and Lace" up thread, I want to mention "It's Only a Paper Moon." This is an amazing episode and one of my favourites. Aaron Eisenberg's acting chops shines through, demonstrating fantastic emotional range. The directing is really good. I love Nog's arc. The closing, with Vic on stage singing with no crew present, because of the gift of living Nog gives him is a great episode ending. DS9's characters are definitely the strength of this show. Star Trek only thrives with good characters.

On to Voyager. Having doubts about getting through all of this one though.

It looks like it is available on the Peacock and Roku streaming services as well.
A little silly that it isn't available on Paramount+, but what are you going to do.

It wasn't an official Star Trek production. It was produced by another company, and was crowdfunded.

So? You say that as if it is a barrier.
Paramount+ could license to carry it.
Not doing so is silly, given that they have all the other Trek content on theirs service.

It is at least potentially one. I don't know how much non-Paramount-produced content exists on Paramount+, but my impression is that it's not much. Licensing third-party content isn't really what they do.

And even if they do, it has to make sense with their business plan - which wouldn't be a given with all the talk of mergers and challenges at achieving profitability. I think the number of subscribers a crowd-funded documentary would bring in is fairly small.

I say that in this specific case, not licensing it is silly.

Unless you can cite a reason they can't make an exception in this case, I am not sure what you are argung with me over.
