I bounced off Voyager really hard. Mostly a great cast and characters, but to my mind they squandered the majority of the potential of the premise in the pilot.Struggling through Voyager. It's frustrating because it had potential that it couldn't reach. I am enjoying Jeri Ryan's portrayal of Seven, however.
A half-Starfleet crew forced to work with a half-Maquis crew while stranded on the far side of the galaxy is an amazing premise with tons of great story potential. And it all evaporated by the end of the pilot. The constant resets rubbed me the wrong way. And it's really weird how all the supposedly less-advanced aliens were constantly managing to somehow travel faster than Voyager and get ahead of them so they could meet up again.
Tim Russ as Tuvok was brilliant bust kinda wasted. He's incredibly funny. The EMH is great. Loved Torres...but that's a hell of a problematic character.
At least Ron Moore went on to reboot Battlestar Galactica in disgust.
