“Invasive Procedures” is a rather sad episode. I didn’t realize that trill hosts had pouches!

Tim Russ plays a klingon prior to becoming Tuvok!

(Kira tells Quark that he’s “done” on the station due to his complicity in allowing Verad and co onto the station. Yet Quark is still there in subsequent episodes!)


“Cardassians” was a good episode, but oof “Melora? Not so much. Apparently low gravity means no gravity? And Melora herself isn’t just prickly. She’s bordering on insubordinate! And of course randy young Bashir who can never get in Jadzia’s pants has found someone else to romance. Quark’s would-be assassin, Kot, is so goofy-looking with that thing in front of his mouth. This could have been so much better.

Was talking about Krull in a discord server this morning. The lead went on to play Michael Edington!

Watching "The Rules of Acquisition" during lunch. My first thought was "The casual sexism of the early 90s is on full display here!" but having watched further, now I see that the whole episode is a commentary on casual sexism. Kira even refers to the Ferengi as "misogynistic trolls" (after having to endure the Grand Nagus' sexual harassment) and even Quark begins to question his own sexist beliefs by the end.

EDIT: Hey, it's Griff Tannen from Back to the Future 2! (Not really but that alien with the red face paint looks a bit like him.)

EDIT 2: Oh! First mention of the Dominion!

EDIT 3: I understand that this episode hinted at the beginnings of a Ferengi feminist revolution that unfolds as the series progresses. I guess I'll have to keep watching to find out more!

“Necessary Evil” was a nice flashback episode that gave some context to Kira and Odo’s relationship.

“Second Sight” was kind of … mean? An unhappy wife unknowingly teasing Sisko with a psychic projection of herself?

“Sanctuary” is kinda sad.

“Rivals” – it’s Humperdinck!

“Necessary Evil” was a nice flashback episode that gave some context to Kira and Odo’s relationship.

“Second Sight” was kind of … mean? An unhappy wife unknowingly teasing Sisko with a psychic projection of herself?

“Sanctuary” is kinda sad.

“Rivals” – it’s Humperdinck!

Second Sight has such a weird ending! Letting the brilliant scientist who has helped millions

I really enjoyed the Sci-Fi noir aspect of it. Odo has some of the most underrated episodes.

“The Alternate” is another great Odo episode.

“Armageddon Game” was good. What a shocking twist at the end there!

“Whispers” = a fun little mystery episode with a surprising twist at the end.

Would you interested in a follow up series?

I would rather there be a new series that captures the magic of DS9 than trying to revive the series itself. Let the old characters be! Bring in new characters and plotlines, but learn from the amazingness of DS9.
