Star Wars d20 is dead

I agree. It’s also a shame that no Greyhawk books have come out for 3rd edition or that no books have come out for Birthright and half the other settings you suggested.

I think people have a right to there opinions and that they are more than welcome to hope/suggest that these setting of old be supported.

Anyhow, my post is pretty much off topic so I'll end it now. :)

It's just funny to me because at my Christian college a lot of my friends will see like a HERO or DnD or Vampire book or whatever and ask me what it is. I say it's an RPG and they are like, oh, like that old Star Wars game.

I'm starting to think everyone I know played that game at one time or another. Seriously.

I don't disagree, but too many gamers on the intarweb go far beyond "hope/suggest" and more into "whine/demand".

Aye, as I said I do agree. :) I would give vast amounts of money for a setting book for Cerilia. :( (Birthright)

I would suggest that the WEG Star Wars RPG player fanbase has been seriously eroded over the last six years by both D&D itself and the d20 market in general, including d20 Star Wars. I would further suggest that WEG Star Wars players do not now constitute a significant percentage of either gamers or even Star Wars gamers.
Oh, I'm sure the d6 fan base has eroded quite a lot. I meant that at the time they made the d20 Star Wars, d6 would still have been a significant factor.

I don't mean to insult you, but perhaps you should consider the economic reality of what you're asking for.

People who say "I wish I had a book for X" and then reject quality fan-created material for X because it's not a book make me wonder if what they really want is reassurance that the X they like is actually popular.

Than maybe you should go back and read my orginal post? :)

Anyhow, I have the pdf you pointed too and I see no issue as to why I cannot wish to have a true tangible book and nothing you say can or will change my opinion on that matter.

It's not just you, REG (since I doubt you agree with everything I wrote above, anyway). It's every gamer who won't stop to consider the context in which their hopes exist. It's every gamer who says that the company "owes" them something even if that means taking a hit to their revenue. It's every gamer who refuses to believe that they could be in a massive minority in liking something and seems to believe the company who owns the material they like is "keeping them down" by not catering to that minority. It's every gamer who refuses to accept that RPG companies need to make products that will sell and that sometimes - maybe even most of the time - the people who can design those products will be designing products they don't like.

It goes for anything. d20 Star Wars' recent lack of support is a shame, not a freaking crime against its fans. There are too many gamers who need to learn to make that distinction, and to quit being so damn bitter.
Well, excuse me for being selfish when it comes to my personal desire and once in a while venting it out. I'm sorry you find my venting to be cramping, nay grating on your current gaming lifestyle.

Perhaps I should just shut my mouth and be eternally grateful with "whatever" WotC wants to offer their customers. I mean, far be it for me to request WotC, what I want to see in my FLGS for like Caesar "they can do no wrong." That would be too rude of me.

Yes, it is a shame, of which I will constantly remind them now that this "hiatus" have gone on too long.
