Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic [SPOILERS]

As far as the Exile's identity, last I knew regarding Lucasarts' official stance in regards to EU continuity was that the Exile was male, and the light side ending is the "canon" ending, much as it was for Revan.

I know that Leeland Chee was trying to get the Exile to be female in the KOTOR/EU canon, but I don't think that panned out.

Actually, a female Exile has already been canonized in the New Essential Guide to Droids. They call the Exile a heroine, thus making her female.

Then I stand corrected regarding the Exile's canon gender.

Either I had misread the article that stated Exile's gender, or Leeland got his wish. Either way, it's all good.

Revan is male.

Exile is female.

At least that is the latest canon. You never know with Lucas and Co. though.

Ok, but back to the new comic series: What do people make of the characters and their motivations? Where could this all go? I actually started with issue 9, and so i was very sympathetic to Lucian, until of course I went back and read first 6 issues. So, perhaps I'm looking for reasons to like or at least have sympathy for him and hope for his redemption. But at least where things seem to stand, I have a hard time believing that he'll climb out of the Dark Side hole he's dug for himself.

The comic inspired me to start playing through the video game again. It's still a lot of fun the second time through. I'm trying to play through the various planets in a different order this time, but there does seem to be a momentum that pushes you to Tatooine first. I sure wish they'd put out a version of the second game for the Macintosh.

I wished they'd have bothered to actually complete the second game when they released it.

It had a great start, but by the last quarter of the game, anyone with an IQ above a single digit could tell that this was rushed out the door. A whole lot of sub-plots, and even portions of the main plot, were sacrificed on the alter of Christmas release date.
