OOC: Can I ready an action to attack any spider that comes to attack me? If so I do that.

Yes you can take the Ready action but this uses your Reaction action you might have this round

buckshot: 2D20.LOW(1)+5 = [6, 4]+5 = 9; 3D8+4 = [2, 2, 7]+4 = 15. Half damage plus -5 damage threshold thanks to Devastating Attack.

Action surge: The charm: 2D20.LOW(1)+5 = [7, 11]+5 = 12; 3D8+4 = [8, 8, 6]+4 = 26 13 additional damage for a total of four or five dead spiders, I think?

When you fire Auto-Fire you are at a -5 to hit, but your target number is 10. If you hit everyone in a 4x4 meter area takes full damage. If you miss they take 1/2 damage. But the Miners in the elevator lift are close to the spiders so they could be in the effect.

Your first attack missed (with a 4) and the second is a success (with a 11). Now the 4 might hurt a miner or two... just as an FYI
