Star Wars Saga Edition [SECR] Preview #8 is Up

Let me flatter you one last time by saying that the Black Company/True Sorcery Magic System you and Rob came up with is still my favorite magic system I've yet seen. :)

Wha?...oh, hey, yea, he did (I'm bad with names) I *lurve* True Sorcery/BCCS, and I everything I've seen on Saga mechanics make me squeal like a goosed lemure.

Owen, you're my hero, and my d20-man-crush.

Still waiting for my Saga edition. I have a deep burbling dream of marrying the Force talent encounter-recharge thing with the TS/BCCS magic talent thing...

Heheh. That would be really cool. I could also see a variant where you deal your TS/BCCS spell elements randomly for each encounter, so if you want to mix and match you have to work with what you've got. Because, surely some of the things Goblin and One-Eye did smack of trying to work around weird limitations of the system, rather thanc reating exactly what they wanted.

But that's getting pretty far afield of Star Wars.

Speaking of dealing, have you heard any word from Rodney or the WotC webmasters about a possible future Book of 9 Swords style flash-cards with the force powers on them? Rodney mentioned he planned to have something like this for adding to the web site after Saga Edition was released. We can make our own, of course, but if it was something in the works in the new few weeks, I didn't want to take the trouble...

No, I don't have any update on that, sorry. Rodney's pretty good about checking forums for questions, and updating people as soon as he can. I bet the Saga release, which is still brand new, is generating more than enough for him to do for the next few weeks.

Indeed. My head asplode.

Yeah, the "flash cards" for Force powers are forthcoming. It's on our list, and shouldn't be too far off...

Owen and Rodney, I just picked up my copy today and I've been tearing through it all night. I've got to say that you guys did one helluva job with the new edition! Excellent work guys! I can't wait to put this system through its paces. :D

It's all about the accessorization, mang!

Well, I found a copy at my neighborhood Borders, in the Star Wars section instead of the RPG section. Last I saw, there was another copy still there...
Some Borders store bundles all the various RPGs in one or two shelves. Others based on [popular] subjects (i.e., All Things Star Wars). The sooner you get to know your store's layout, the easier to get what you need without any distraction.

Mine bundles it all together in one area, which is why I was surprised to find SECR under Star Wars, instead. But now I know, and as they used to say, knowing is half the battle. (That does seem to imply that not knowing is the other half of the battle, but I digress...)

Enjoy,
Flynn
