Silly question.... but whats Black Friday?

The day after Thanksgiving here in the U.S. It's a huge sale day and one of the largest shopping days of the year (although typically the 1 or 2 weekends before Christmas have bigger days). It's called Black Friday because that's the day that retailers typically move from out of the red (operating at a loss) into the black (operating at a profit) for the year. I actually went to two gaming stores on Saturday looking for some Hackmaster material and both of them seemed pretty well stocked.
