Side question: Can anyone in Canada tell me if there are Canadian stations showing up-to-date episodes of SG1 -- everything I've found seems to be a season behind.

Or am I just out of luck?

Thanks for helping a new Canadian. :)

US broadcast stations that are carring SG-1 show it a year late also. Season 9 will only be on Sci-fi channel. I don't know if this also applies to europe.

From what I heard the Space Channel won't be showing the new Stargate SG-1 or Battlestar Galatica until November when they can show all episodes of the new seasons completely uninterrupted, so that the second half of the season in Canada will be around the same time as the second half in the US. As for Atlantis, no luck there it seems, they use the excuse 'well it's on the movie channel' so they aren't going to show it for a while.

My favorite Sci-Fi Friday episode tonite. Great way to introduce Browder's character and an intriguing way to start the season. Can't go wrong with Arthurian legend!

The reference to Browder and Shanks looking alike totally killed me. I remember several years back when I first got Sci-Fi I'd catch snippets of Farscape and then later see an episode of SG-1 and be like, hmm I wonder when Farscape got cancelled and he joined this show?

All the Farscape jokes(and there were at least three) were great. A very, very good episode and love the new cast members. Even without RDA and Amanda Tapping, this still feels right and gives a good breath of fresh air after so many seasons.

Not only that, but the whole feel of the show is much more new for some reason. Probably the Arthurian touches instead of the usual god things. :)

And then, of course:

"Wow, politics does suck everywhere you go."

"Indeed."

Great episode! Daniel and Vala stole the show. I think Browder will fit in well. He's basically a smart Jack and plays the part very well. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. :D
