Hey, I've been setting up a new pathfinder group with some friends. I'm going to be dm and I was looking through some of my Campaign ideas I've been writing down. One of them is a post apocalyptic setting, and I was thinking of what kind of weapons/armor people in such a setting would use. I saw some videos of people knapping arrowheads from beer bottle bottoms, and it got me thinking, could you make an arrowhead out of clay? Not the first material I'd make arrowheads out of myself, but if I had to scrounge for resources and couldn't find anything else, I assume it could work, obsidian worked for hundreds of years. The only thing is that its not listed in ultimate equipment's special materials section (I didn't expect it to, but I checked anyway). The reason I also ask about stats for clay armor is because I had this idea where they come across some nomadic survivors who wear clay masks. There would also be other people who would wear clay masks, like light armored bandits and certain recurring factions. I assume most dm's would just consider them not wearing armor for mechanical purposes, but I just think that they should have at least some benefits to wearing a clay mask (certainly not anything close to steel or bronze) it may be fragile, but it cant be completely useless.
To clarify, I am intending for allowing characters to buy and craft (Assuming one of them take the skill profession, and choose fletching) clay arrows and bolts, though I'm not sure how realistic bolts are compared to arrows, but It only seems fair to allow bolts to be craftable from the same materials as arrows can.
Also, while were on the subject, I know the official rules say that copper and tin share the same stats as the material bronze, but I'd rather not do that if I can, any suggestions for copper/tin armor and arms stats? (It would only be used for chainmail, scalemail and arrows/bolts)
