Stores in Rome?

Can anyone please direct me to stores selling RPG-products in Rome? I'll be going there in a few weeks, and thought I'll step into one or two. (I have a very poor selection near home.)

Hi Yair,

I don't know where you live in Israel and surely you know the store Freak in Even-Gvirol(Tel-Aviv) but...

I've been living near the store (by chance ;))for almost 3 years now. And although at first their selection was pretty much limited to 3rd Ed. D&D stuff by WoTC, now the situation is much better. They have a lot of FFG, Malhavoc, AEG... stuff and quite a lot non-D20 games (the mainstream ones) - Gurps, White-Wolf games, ...

So if you haven't been there in a while I'd recommend swinging by and having a look, sometimes they also have good bargains, I bought FFG's Dragonstar collection (5 books) for 200 shekels

I've never toured Rome for RPGs, but:

http://www.girsacrew.it/info/negozi.html#LAZIO

The site is in Italian, but you should be able to figure out the addresses. From the descriptions, it looks like the best ones are:

"Strategia & Tattica"
Via Cavour 248/250 (near the Coliseum)
Tel. 06/4824684

"Dragon Store Roma"
Piazza delle Crociate 18
00162 ROMA
Tel. 06/4404405

These seem to be the biggest two; they should have plenty of English books as well. Another couple of good ones that are mentioned to carry English titles:

"Le Rune Magiche (ex Tana del Troll)"
Via Casoria 45 (Rome's Re zone)
E-mail: gareth@tiscalinet.it

"Galactus Club"
Via Malladra 14 (Monti Tiburtini)
Tel. 06/4182076

Shalom lior!
I am of course aware of Freak, but as I live in jerusalem I don't really have access to it. I last visited it years ago, and was not very impressed. Since you say it's improved, I'll definitely be making another visit... sometime.

I still believe the stores in Rome will be better, though...

You're welcome. I think they are all in rather central positions. With a good street guide, you should have no problems. :)
