D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

Tranio's magic heals and awakens the previously injured woman. She is initially confused and terrified, but Xolkin manages to calm her down.

Going off her foggy memory, it appears she was in one of the guest rooms upstairs when a boulder crashed through the roof. It took out her room's floor and sent her crashing to the tavern below.

Kella has no idea who killed the goblin.

"Perhaps my men should rest in town for a few hours," Xolkin suggests. " I did not allow any breaks on our ride here and Kella still needs to recover more." The flying snake glides into view once more and lands comfortably on Xolkin's shoulders.

OOC: CanI get a location update from everyone. I know Fistan is in the church tower. I presume Bethany is watching the riders while the others are in the tavern?

Fistan watches the riders at the gate from his vantage point in the bell tower. Not entirely trusting the Zhentarhim , he makes a stroking motion through the air and Rillix appears. He strokes the cat like creature for a second then dispatches it with a wave. Watch the approaches for us, I don't want anything surprising us.

Bethany: The men on the bridge mutter to each other restlessly. "Just let us in, lass. You really think one little girl could hold back six riders anyway," the bald warrior asks before breaking into a laugh.

Carolina: The kitchen pantry has been looted by the goblins. The guest rooms (the ones still standing anyway) are all identical and hold nothing of value. You come across one fancier door which is locked. You would suspect this is the Morak's office or bedroom.

Fistan: The cat nods in understanding and then flies off to watch the strangers.

Dren pulled out his waterskin, offering it to Kella as she regained consciousness. “Stayin’ in town’s up t’ the folk in the castle,” the dwarf told Xolkin. “If someone’s willin’ t’ take charge, tha’ is. We were plannin’ on gaein’ oot after the villagers.”

Bethany: Yours words strike fear into the riders. One woman standing against all six of them would be insanity, yet you seem so confident. They mutter some more to themselves, before turning the horses around and heading back outside.

Carolina: The lock is simple and the door clicks open for you with little effort. Morak's room shows the signs of the siege, boulders having destroyed his desk. You then notice that a wooden chest was destroyed too, the contents now easily accessible. You find a suit of chain mail sized for a dwarf, a dwarven helm, a leather bag that holds 45 gold pieces and two bright gemstones. There is also a blue potion that bubbles and steams as if boiling.

Dren: Kella greedily drinks down the water and thanks you. Xolkin, however, frowns. It appears that he expected a warmer welcome to Nightstone.

Everyone: The Nighstone guards suggest the Zhent make camp right outside the drawbridge, but that idea is quickly shot down. " Thank you for helping me find Kella. Best watch out for snails," Xolkin states without explanation. With that, the eight ride off into the night.

OOC: For peacefully keeping the Zhent out of Nightstone, you have all reached level 3!
