Train holds his shield above his head, peeking out occasionally to see what's above him. It is an uncomfortable way to travel, and he finds the whole experience of cloud castles unsettling.

Ardeep Forest
Morning
Round 0

Dren dashed for cover with the others as the cloud castle descended. He eyed the cloud stairs warily as they descended to the cliffside, waiting to see if any giant would descend. Or was it an invitation? And did they dare accept it?

OOC: Is it coming toward us or just randomly somewhere close? Such as maybe orc village?

EDIT: Ignore the above, I just re-read last couple of pages.

Ordrar hides under the trees and glares at the fortress.
"Those giants destroyed my home! We should push over the cliff whatever they send down!"

No boulders drop, but the largest humanoid any of you have ever seen flies through the air. It ignores the stairs completely and lands before the adventures. The being has light purple skin and is 22 feet tall. The stranger has windswept white hair, a wispy white beard, and a billowy purple robe adorned with gold stars. The being's eyes are completely white, but there is kindness in his face.

"I must apologize little ones," the stranger says in a soft voice that betrays his stature. "There have been a great upheaval and both of our worlds stand at the brink of destruction." The giant motions to the cloud stairs. "We must hurry."

"You destroyed my town! Only way you need to hurry is to greet Hell!" Ordrar advances with his hammer held high. But something about this giant doesn't fit his image of destruction and he hesitates, then throws down his hammer, frowning
"Bah! Now you'll tell us there is a split - and you're the good giants, right!? And I don't get to kill any of you! Dead cry for vengeance!" he stomps toward the stairs.

The hammer shimmers and appears back in his hand. Those perceptive enough notice that despite the bravado and seeming lack of hesitation, his knuckles are white on the weapon and there is stiffness in his gait as if he expects the stair to disintegrate under him at any moment.

Aremus looks bewildered but curious and he follows Ordrar to ascend the stairs. "Don't worry, Dwarf." he says quietly to his friend, "I'm sure we will find Giants to kill before this is over. Perhaps we can ask to use this tower to find the one that dropped the rocks on Nightstone."

"And you just happened to pop out of a cloud right in front of us, and decide to invite us in?" Carolina says. "I mean, it was impressive fer sure, but ye know...stranger danger and all. I think I'll be keepin' me feet on the ground a bit longer, if it's all the same to you."

Tranio walks up, relishing the fear he is feeling. His shield is dropped, but still in his one hand; the other is empty.

"What do you want of us?" he asks. "What can we do in this situation that others cannot?"
