D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

FitzTheRuke

Legend
Aremus began to steer for a bend in the river that he felt was concealed from the vantage of the casino and called to Tranio, "I would like to swoop down to the river without terrorising the local trade! Can you spot any civilian vessels around that bend to the north?"

And he called to the others, "Prepare for our descent!"

With the descent immanent, Dren could slack off a bit from shoveling coal into the furnace. He wiped sweat and coal dust from his forehead. He was going to need a dip in the river. “D’we need t’ be presentable again?” he asked.

"Sure. If you want to gamble. I would stay on this boat. But I will clean up in the river regardless of being presentable." Ordrar banks the fires and takes his equipment heading up.

Dren went to the water bucket. With a wave of his hand, he caused the water to flow a bit, up his arm, over his muscled, hair torso, beard, and hair, washing off the coal dust. He dipped his shirt in the water, which flowed off and left it clean. Then he followed Ordrar up to the deck to join the others as they discussed just what they wanted to do next.

The descent goes with out problem and it is a thrilling experience to see the tiny dots below grow into ships and villages. In no time at all the impressive airship has dipped into the deep river and gently sails toward the casino boat.

The casino boat does not change course, nor do you see any gaurds scrambling to ready for a battle. A plethora of casino patrons lean against the railings and gawk at the strange vehicle you ride in though.

Legend
"Ho! Officer of the Casino!" called Aremus over the rail, "We have a crew thirsty to try their luck at your tables! Would you be troubled at all if we came alongside? If that is inconvenient to you, we would be happy to follow you to your next anchorage and come aboard then!"

"Nice trick, that. I still prefer honest water"
With that. Ordrar moves up and, leaving his equipment on the boards simply jumps into the water. In seconds he rinses the sweat and soot and returns to the deck wringing water out of his beard.
"We should tie the boats together or if they don't allow that one or two of us should remain onboard."

"All are welcome to test Tymora here," shouts a guard across the river, his focus still more on the bizaree vessel than the party.

"We would normally offer to to tie your boat to ours, but that balloon is a concern. Don't want anyone to get too greedy and try to fly away with our riches, ship and all. I can ask the captain to stop for a moment if you'd wish to board," they'd offer.

[ Feel free to try to persuade them to tie boats too.]

FitzTheRuke

Legend
"Oh this?" said Aremus as if he had only just noticed the baloon, "It's a fancy decoration to be sure. Your ship is much larger than ours; it would be a simple thing indeed for you to tow us. We could, perhaps, compensate you for the trouble. And of course, all of us could then join your tables. Otherwise, we would need to leave enough to crew her, and we've just paid out our wages."
