Storm Mage prestige class?

Are there any prestige classes tailored to a wizard specializing in fog, cloud, and weather-related spells? It would be combined with kind of a lightning focus.

I'm paged through the Complete Books and found nothing that made me happy. An elemental savant focused on Air doesn't do it for me, and the Storm Lord class in CD is a clerical prestige class.

wasent thier a storm lord someplace? i think it was in the compleat books. It has a image of someone looking down and lightning is arching from one hand to the other and they are casting down a bolt of energy. pritty sure it lost caster levels though...

Stormwrack had something based on lightning - might try there.
The stormcaster PrC: 9/10 spellcasting; requires nonlawful, Know: arcana 4, Know: nature 4, able to cast gust of wind, & either lightning bolt or call lightning; misc. storm-type abilities, like resist electricity/sonic, Shield of Winds, Eye of the Storm, Thunderbolt, & Call Storm. Not sure I can post more without viloating copyright (I may have posted too much; mods, delete this if so).

You might look into the d20 Rokugan material. I don't know whether they did a PrC for it, but there's the Mantis Clan's Storm Legion, which consists of Mantis Shugenja that are very good at weather magic (mainly controlling the seas - on the sea, they can even outperform all but the most powerful Phoenix shugenja!).

I remember their being a Weather Mage Prestige Class in an issue of Dragon a couple of years ago. I can't remember the exact issue number but it may have been around issue #300. I'll have a look tonight and see if I can find out what issue it was exactly.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

So far the most promising one sounds like the one from Stormwrack. I'll see if I know anybody with access to that book. (Giving up a caster level is a hard decision, though.)

The article is called "Arcane Weather" and is in Dragon #308. It's by Mike Mearls. At the end of the article, which has some new weather spells and other weather related stuff, it has a 5 level PrC in it called the Aeromancer. It has full casting and a couple of other things. You would have to read the article for more details though as I only had a quick look at it.
