Maybe I'm missing something, but are the stowage/carrying capacity of backpacks, belt pouches, chests, and sacks listed anywhere in 3rd or 3.5 edition? Specifically how many coins each could hold? There used to be a chart for it in 2nd edition AD&D, but I've yet to find it in the new editions.

It is in the 3.0 Players Handbook. The table as accidentally deleted from the 3.5 PH, and has not been restored anywhere to my knowledge.

In 3.x, all weight and capacity is expressed in pounds. 1 pound has 50 coins.

Generally, if you still have your 2nd Edition books around, the capacities are about the same.

The big thing to keep in mind is that "Small" versions of "Medium" containers/objects have 1/4 the weight and capacity.

A normal ("Medium") Backpack holds 20 lbs and weighs 2 lbs, for example; one sized for a Small creature holds 5 lbs and weighs 1/2 lb.
